BS4 Arts Trail

There’s something special about returning to the place where a journey first began. This Saturday, 13th June, my work will be exhibited at the BS4 Arts Trail — the very event where I showed my art publicly for the first time last year.

Back then, I brought just one piece with me: A Bommie View. It felt like a small step at the time, almost tentative, but it turned out to be the moment that shifted everything.

Standing beside that single painting, watching people pause, look, and connect with it, gave me a kind of courage I didn’t realise I’d been waiting for. It was the spark that pushed me to enter more exhibitions, submit to competitions, and trust my work enough to let it be seen.

Coming back this year feels different — fuller, steadier, and threaded with gratitude. The studio has been a place of quiet unfolding these past months, and sharing that work again in the community that first welcomed me feels like closing a circle and opening a new one at the same time.

If you’re in Bristol this weekend, I’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and see what’s been emerging since that first brave step.

Here’s to beginnings, returns, and all the unexpected paths art leads us down.
